Stopping Development of iPhone Applications

Today, I'm stopping development of iPhone applications until the paid application contract is sorted out and my previously approved applications are on sale in the App Store.

As some may know, in order to sell iPhone applications in the App Store, a paid application contract is required between Apple and the developer. A similar contract is required for distributing free applications in the App Store.

I have 2 approved applications, 1 since early December (more than 1 month ago), having mailed out the tax forms 2 months ago. I have 2 more completed applications that I am holding off submitting until the contract is in effect since getting them approved early but not able to be put on sale is going to screw up their placement.

My free application contract is not in effect too. This is after more than 2 months since I've signed up.

Repeated emails to Apple has either not been replied to or as of the most recent reply, along the lines of "we are busy, please be patient" with no ETA and no visibility whatsoever.

This is the last straw. I am not going to do anymore development for my own iPhone applications until this is sorted out.

Today, I signed up as an Android Developer and have ordered the Android Dev Phone. Can't wait for it to arrive and get a feel of the real thing.
