These terms apply when you use the MotionObj website or buy a MotionObj product or service. I am Hwee-Boon Yar, co-founder of MotionObj and the developer of MinuteFile. MotionObj is the Singapore-based husband-and-wife team I run with Daphane Khoo.

By using the website or completing a purchase, you agree to the terms that apply to that use or purchase. If you do not agree, do not use the website or complete the purchase.

Product-specific terms

These are general MotionObj terms. A product page, checkout, an app-store or other distribution platform’s agreement, and a product or licence schedule may add product-specific conditions. Those conditions control for that product if they conflict with this document. Mandatory rights under applicable law always continue to apply.

MinuteFile has a separate product and licence schedule.

Website use

You may use this website for lawful purposes. Do not interfere with the website, bypass its security, introduce malicious code, use it to violate another person’s rights, or use automated access in a way that unreasonably disrupts the website or its services.

MotionObj owns the website and its original content unless stated otherwise. You may link to public pages and quote brief extracts with attribution. You may not copy or distribute substantial parts of the website, use MotionObj’s branding as your own, or imply MotionObj endorses you without permission.

Purchases and payment

The product page and checkout show the current price and purchase terms. Prices, currencies, included features, licence models, and availability can differ by product and distribution channel. Applicable taxes or fees may be calculated or shown at checkout.

MotionObj may use third-party checkout and payment providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to the services they provide. A payment provider processes the payment, but your purchase of a MotionObj product remains between you and MotionObj unless the checkout or distribution channel clearly says another party is the seller.

Provide accurate purchase and contact information. If a payment fails, is reversed, or is charged back without a valid basis, MotionObj may pause fulfilment or access while the payment dispute is resolved. Contact hboon@motionobj.com first if you do not recognise a charge or have a purchase problem; this does not limit any right to dispute a charge through your payment provider.

Refunds are handled under the terms shown for the product and at purchase, together with applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes a refund, repair, replacement, or other remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Third-party services and software

MotionObj products may use third-party services, distribution channels, libraries, runtimes, models, or other components. Their own terms and licences may apply. MotionObj may replace or stop using a third party when reasonably needed. A third party is responsible for its own service; MotionObj remains responsible for obligations that applicable law places on MotionObj.

Privacy

The MotionObj Privacy Policy explains how the website and MotionObj generally handle information. A product may have a separate privacy notice describing its own data handling. Do not assume every MotionObj product collects, stores, or processes data in the same way.

Availability, compatibility, and changes

MotionObj may change the website or a product, fix errors, add or remove features, update compatibility requirements, or stop offering a product. Product pages and schedules may state more specific commitments. MotionObj does not promise that every website feature, product, integration, or third-party service will remain available indefinitely.

You are responsible for checking the stated compatibility requirements and keeping reasonable backups of your own data. Updates may be required for security, compatibility, or continued access to a service.

Warranties and liability

MotionObj provides the website and products with the express commitments stated at purchase and any rights required by law. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, they are provided as available without additional implied warranties.

To the extent permitted by law, MotionObj is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data. MotionObj’s total liability arising from a product or service is limited to the amount you paid MotionObj for the affected product or service.

These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability that applicable law imposes for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing in these terms removes non-waivable consumer rights.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for your use of the website and products, the content and data you supply, and compliance with applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, you will reimburse MotionObj for reasonable third-party claims, losses, and costs caused by your unlawful use, deliberate breach of these terms, or infringement of another person’s rights. This does not require you to cover claims caused by MotionObj’s own breach, negligence, or unlawful conduct.

Suspension and termination

MotionObj may restrict or end access to the website or a service if you materially breach the applicable terms, create a security risk, or use it unlawfully. Where practical, MotionObj will give notice and a reasonable chance to fix a breach. Product-specific terms explain what termination means for a product licence or purchase.

Terms that by their nature should continue after termination remain in effect, including ownership, payment obligations already incurred, liability limits, and dispute terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Singapore law. The courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes. If mandatory consumer law in your country gives you additional rights or permits you to bring a claim elsewhere, these terms do not take those rights away.

Changes and contact

MotionObj may update these terms as the website, products, or law change. The effective date above shows the latest revision. Changes apply from publication and do not retroactively diminish rights already acquired from a completed purchase unless the applicable product terms or law allow it.
